Check the tread depth, minimum depth is 1.6mm

After the tyre’s been checked for debris, cuts and bulges run your hand along the inner and outer edge to check for stepping, it should feel even/smooth and not jagged.

The 2810 number shown on the side wall is when this tyre was made, the 28th week of the year 2010.

This tyre was over 7 years old and you can see that it’s perishing and has cracked.

Check the valves for splits.

The simplest things are the ones that are over looked, check the tyre pressure is correct to the manufacturers recommendations.
