Check tyre tread depth and pressure, all tyres including spare must be checked. You must also check the side wall of the tyre for damage and bulges.

Check all the lights, including hazard warning lights, instrument lights, boot light etc

Check front and rear wiper blades and windscreen washer jets to make sure they work correctly.

Check condition of front and rear brake pads and discs, make sure the break wear indicator wire is undamaged.

Check condition of bodywork, check aerodynamic aids, pipes and hoses, brake lines, rubber boots and gaiters

Check coolant level and concentration. Top up screens washers if required.

Check brake fluid level and amount of water that has been absorbed. there should be less than 4% moisture in the brake fluid. This should be changed every two years if you cannot test the brake fluid.

Check and adjust handbrake travel

Check emissions using an exhaust gas analyser. Check engine management system using examiner.

Replace spark plugs.

Replace air filter.

Change oil and filter.
