Replacing the air filter on an Alfa Romeo 156, GT 3.2 and a 147 GTA

The air filter is located in front of the battery.

Remove the cover from the relay box, then unclip the relays from their bracket and carefully move the whole lot over into the inner wing.

Undo the clip for the air intake hose.

Undo the three fastners around the air filter housing, these can be screws or nuts depending on the age of the Alfa

Lift up the lid of the air filter housing with the air flow meter. On some models it is necessary to disconnect the air flow meter.

Remove the Air filter and replace with a new one. Then reverse the procedure to refit the new air filter.
